Students have highly praised the classes at Comics & the Graphic Novel, standing by the quality of instruction provided by the teacher, Josh. They accentuate the supportive teaching style of Josh, who is able to cater to different levels of artistic capability, proving himself to be patient with beginners while also being able to challenge the more experienced. Students particularly enjoyed the weekly assignments that allowed them to put what they learned to practice, ensuring steady progress and skill improvement. Those who entered the class with limited exposure to the American comics tradition left with a robust understanding of various artists and their distinct comic styles. The course appears to be highly engaging and fun, prompting some of the students to consider re-taking it in the future as a refresher. The overall consensus is that the class exceeds expectations and Josh's teaching is highly recommended. Quotes: 1. "Josh is a great, patient teacher even with those who do not have much artistic skill." 2. "The weekly assignments aren't a huge load and really help you practice what you learn each week." 3. "I went in knowing very little about the American comics tradition and learned so much different artists and their various comic styles."
