  Really enjoyed the experience. Learning the controls and navigating the camera was what I wanted to accomplish by taking the course. Adding the next session which allowed me to experiment and apply techniques learned from the previous session was most beneficial to better understand the different aspects of the camera.

  Loved this class! It's amazing how complicated digital cameras and photography are today. I learned so much in this class but still have a lot to learn. The teacher was really chill and made learning and asking questions stress-free.

  The class was worth my time. The setting (Griffith Park Observatory) was perfect for instruction. The instructor was knowledgeable and helped me to understand how to make the most of the limited options available on my digital camera. I would recommend the course.

  The class was great! The instructor was very patient and very knowledgeable. I would take this class again. I just wish they would not have switched the class room location on the last day of class. ELAC is the one that needs to make sure that doesn't interrupt the classroom venue in the future, for the sake of continuity. Other than that detail, all went well.

  Andre is a great videography teacher. He is full of wonderful stories, and makes the information easy to understand. Before walking into his class, I had a very limited idea of how to use my HDSLR for video. The other students seemed to be on the same wavelength as me, so that made the class fun. I feel like the shackle of auto has been removed. I have been recording in Manual thanks to Andre!

The one-on-one setup of the course makes it easy to ask specific questions and get detailed answers that you can learn and practice hands-on— everything from camera settings to shooting techniques and more. I would recommend this course to photographers of varying backgrounds and skill levels.

  Our teacher Raul Guereque was amazing and I HIGHLY recommend taking his class if you really want to get a good handle on the basics of shooting on a DSLR camera. On the first day of class he told us that we would never shoot on automatic again, and he was right! I have been using a DSLR camera for several years, and I learned more in the two weeks of taking his class, then i did in all the years prior combined. He was able to teach us the principles of using a DSLR (F-Stop, ISO, and Shutter Speed) in a way that was very digestible and easy to understand for any level. Then we were able to actually practice these principles out in the field, which made it even easier to understand. In two weeks, my photography skill level has changed tremendously, and now I feel a lot more confident and in control of my settings when using a DSLR. Take this class, and say goodbye to using automatic on your camera!

  Great class....Raul breaks it down without getting too technical making it easy to understand and follow. He makes sure that he can attend & give each participant his attention and help, as well as respond to each question. Raul even goes beyond class time to stay awhile & do more practice sessions & give additional tips & pointers. Thanks Raul!

  The class was very informative. I also learned a great deal from the various exercises we did in class. I asked Tip if I could have a copy of the information that was on the slides. In particular, the ones that provided the various examples and the ISO, Shutter speed, and Aperture that corresponded to each. I thought this would be really helpful for me but the slides weren't up long enough to copy the information. If this can be emailed to me, I would really appreciate it. Thank you! Margarita P.S.   Great class!! Raul is an amazing teacher and explains everything in a way that it's very easy to understand. On top of that you get to practice shooting pictures and incorporating all the things you've learned. I loved it and i learned so much in a short amount of time.

  This class was exactly what I needed! I studied photography at NYU and graduated in 2000. A lot has changed since then! I needed a refresher on photography and a crash course in how to use my new digital camera. The next day I shot an event and was so much more confident and got great pictures! Thanks!
